Keepin' it Deep Presents: The Chainsmokers, Valentino Khan and Milo & Otis @ the Bluebird 2/27-3/1

In the past seven months they’ve brought us Luminox, Savoy, RL Grime and Salva, and this spring they’re ready to bring us more and bring it harder.

Keepin’ it Deep will be working its dance magic on the Bloomington area yet again next Thursday, Feb, 27., by presenting us with another quality night of mixing madness.

This time, The Chainsmokers will take to the stage at The Bluebird Nightclub and grace us with their light hearted, high energy sound. Currently occupying fifth place on Beatport’s top ten tracks with their first major release, #SELFIE, The Chainsmokers are sure to be in the spotlight come festival season. The duo have been hard at work remixing and rebooting material from artists such as Sultan + Ned Shepard, Two Door Cinema Club, Phoenix, The Killers, Icona Pop, Ellie Goulding, Bastille etc., and have managed to blur the lines between dance and pop music. Having been signed to Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak label, the boys are pros at delivering bouncy, progressive house basslines, as well as a sense of humor. Their latest release features a pulsing beat and see-saw synths, along with the voice of a girl who is seemingly obsessed with taking selfies while clubbing. For the music video, The Chainsmokers smartly got their fans involved by having them submit their own selfies to be included in the video.

Only two days after The Chainsmokers take the stage at The Bluebird, Keepin’ it Deep will be hosting another one of their classic trap parties at the same venue. On Saturday, March 1st, Valentino Khan and Milo & Otis will drop us a hardcore dose of trap and moombahton. Valentino Khan has been dabbling in the hip hop production game for awhile, having produced tracks for the likes of B.o.B., T.I., Bruno Mars, 2 Chainz and Tyga. The producer and DJ also has releases on Ultra Records, Mad Decent, and Dim Mak Records. Khan and Bro Safari released a smoking hot trap remix on Soundcloud this week of M.I.A.’s YALA, which has the potential of being quite the twerk instigator… (I guess we’ll find out if we hear it in Khan’s set on Saturday). Milo & Otis will open for Valentino Khan and get us warmed up with a sound that could be described as “moombahtrap,” and you’ll know what I’m talking about if you’ve heard their single “Pigeons.”
There will be local support for both of these shows provided by Samaro, Jody Free, and The Dub Knight. Tickets can be purchased online at www.keepinitdeepevents.com, or they can be purchased at the door, but prices will go up!

The first price level of tickets for The Chainsmokers is already sold out, but there are still $10 tickets available online. The lowest price level of tickets at $10 are still available for the Valentino Khan with Milo & Otis show, but they will sell out soon so get your tickets right away to avoid paying $15 or more.

Keepin’ it Deep has recruited a strong group of Indiana University students, graduates, and Bloomington locals that form a great promotional street team. The KID Street Team plays a huge part in making these events possible and spends a lot of time putting up posters, handing out flyers, and sharing the dance music gospel across town. They are going to be hard at work all week promoting these shows and they will have hard tickets on hand to sell at low prices, so if you’re on Facebook make sure to “like” the Keepin’ it Deep page so that you can stay updated on where you can get them!
