I had the pleasure of sitting down with Rob, the guitarist of the noise rock band Waxeater, to talk about their music, album artwork, and why they’re excited to play at Culture Shock.
On a gloomy Friday afternoon, my day was brightened with a short, but informative interview with Ty Segall. The 23 year old residing in San Fransisco is one of the many musicians who will be playing at Culture Shock. His newest album Melted has been given great reviews from publications such as Pitchfork and SPIN Magazine, and there is no doubt about why. His music gathers influences from across the board, and delivers both honesty and catchy riffs to his many fans. For fifteen minutes, I was able to talk with him about his influences, musical past, and what’s in store for him.
