CAVY’S KUDOS
- Steven Jackson- My first kudos goes out to Steven Jackson, who had 159 rushing yards along with a pair of touchdowns in the Rams upset-win over the New Orleans Saints last week. With his performance, Jackson recorded his 28th 100 yard game, giving him sole possession of second all time in Rams franchise history. (Eric Dickerson-38)
- Los Angeles Dodgers & Boston Red Sox- Kudos must be given to both the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Boston Red Sox, as both teams had 3 players selected as Gold Glove winners this season. For the Red Sox, 1B Adrian Gonzalez, 2B Dustin Pedroia, and OF Jacoby Ellsbury all won golden gloves. P Clayton Kershaw, CF Matt Kemp and RF Andre Ethier all took home the hardware for the Dodgers.
- Joe Paterno- The Penn State Nittany Lions defeated Illinois 10-7 last Saturday to remain unbeaten in the Big Ten. The victory, however, was the 409th of Joe Paterno’s illustrious career, earning him 1st place on the all-time wins list and a spot on Cavy’s Kudos.
- St. Louis Cardinals- Kudos are also in store for the St. Louis Cardinals, who since our last show defeated the Texas Rangers in Game 7 to win the World Series, giving future hall-of-fame manager Tony LaRussa his 2nd World Series Title with the Cards and his 3rd overall. The title caps off what was a remarkable post-season run for the Cards, who barely squeaked into the playoff picture in the final weeks
- Stormin’ Norman- My final Kudos goes to Stormin’ Norman, who this past week defeated me in fantasy football by a score of 131.48 to 126.56. Although I had to do his laundry, I still got my revenge by beating him in NFL Pick ‘Em.
