Meet Your Editors

Although WIUX still broadcasts from a room where rumors of asbestos have lingered as long as the dread mineral itself, we definitively entered the digital age with the WIUX Blog.  With daily fresh content, exclusive interviews, and interactive monthly event calendars, WIUX has revolutionized the way you think about student radio.  Contributing writers have a short bio at the end of their first pieces this week.  Click here to meet your friendly WIUX editors.

Editor in Chief and Co-Creator:

Kat Coplen is a senior majoring in English Literature and History.  She interns for PALS (People Animal Learning Services) and waitresses at Feast Cafe in Bloomington.  She spent the previous summer in London and is currently plotting her return.  Kat hopes to find a job where she can continue to write and read as much as possible.  In her spare time, she searches for the perfect blueberry pie recipe and reads mystery novels.

Senior Editor:

Taylor Peters is a senior in the Folklore and Ethnomusicology department. He interns for Trickster Press and maintains the blog Verbal Gymnastics with Michael Squeri. He also plays in a number of musical groups around Bloomington including The Elegant Bachelors and Varsouviana. He is the Business Operations manager at WIUX.

Creative Editor:

Wendy Greenberg is senior studying Graphic Design and Telecommunications. When she’s not working for WIUX, she leads trips through IU Outdoor Adventures. Wendy’s goals for the future include traveling to all fifty states, having a building named in her honor, and completing the Appalachian Trail.

Associate Graphic Designer and Co-Creator:

Andrew Olanoff is a junior majoring in Photo Journalism and minoring in Non-Profit Management.  He volunteers at WFHB, interns at Big Brothers and Big Sisters and works as a tamale prep cook at Feast Cafe in Bloomington.  In his spare time, he watches Community Access Television and lusts for Sam Rockwell and the 1990′s cast of Saturday Night Live.  Sometimes he makes short movies about ice cream and juice.
