With a love of film and music, IU students Andy Beargie and Kevin Winkler created a website and television show that showcases live band performances and user generated videos and artwork. Besides being on their website, the television show airs on CATS, Bloomington’s public access channel and Chicago’s public access channel.

The Goulet Brothers, one an alumni and the other a current student of IU, created the website Future Flavor. Future Flavor is a music blog dedicated to showcasing the best in innovative Hip Hop, R&B and Electronic music from the past and present. We strive to support current producers pushing the boundaries of music while at the same time educating readers about those that came before them. From the greats, like Timbaland and J Dilla, to newcomers Hudson Mohawke and Rustie, we cover everything you need to know about dope music. Date is irrelevant here since ‘future’ is a state of mind. We live for music in the future tense and we think this blog will make you feel the same way.
Spirit of ’68 Promotions: spiritof68promotions.
Spirit of ‘68 Promotions was founded under the notion of bringing the best and brightest artists from across the country to Bloomington. Turning a blind eye to genres or musical prejudices, they do what they can to get as diverse a lineup as possible into the stages and basements of Bloomington. In effect, Spirit of ’68 brings the music to you because distance and high gas prices shouldn’t be a barrier to hearing great music.

IU SportCom is another outlet where Indiana University students write, produce, and record podcasts covering all IU Athletics, including Men’s Basketball and Football, but also IU Men’s and Women’s soccer, Volleyball, Women’s Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Little 500, and more. Check them out, they are a big supporter of WIUX and the WIUX Blog!

BITEbloomington is a web based magazine all about the wonderful culinary culture of Bloomington, Indiana. Started by IU student and WIUX DJ, Brenden Eade, BITEbloomington is the go to online spot for recipes, restaurant reviews, and food related events around Bloomington.

The Old National Centre is a premiere venue in the heart of Indianapolis. With multiple rooms, including the infamous Egyptian Room, The Old National Centre is a great venue to see music in Indiana.

Live Nation is a concert ticketing and information website. If you need to know about shows in Indianapolis, or any other city, Live Nation is the place to go.

BAM is a nonprofit resource that increases exposure for listeners and musicians by providing opportunities and connections to the music community through our Web site and calendar and other projects.
