Culture Shock has been a Bloomington mainstay since 1990.  Existing in one form or another on the Indiana University campus for more than two decades, Culture Shock is a day-long music festival featuring Bloomington’s up and coming local bands, several regional bands, and a national headliner.

The highlight of the event is its ticket price: free!  Keeping the event free and open to the community is one of WIUX’s biggest commitments.

Dunn Meadow provides the perfect venue to showcase Culture Shock.  The wide, open spaces easily hold the masses that flock to Culture Shock year after year.  Vendors and cultural centers will add to the festival atmosphere, and will provide food and information.

Culture Shock is truly a Bloomington legacy.  WIUX is committed to giving back to the Bloomington community by providing a free festival highlighting local artists and vendors, along with national touring acts
